Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking Registered Nurses for the Specialty Resource Unit (SRU) at the Burnet Campus. This full-time position includes 32 hours weekly with a 0.8 FTE and offers a starting pay range of $37.00–$42.60 per hour, with potential additional pay differentials.

The SRU delivers care across 17 inpatient units including Critical Care; orientation is phased and BSN- or MSN-preferred candidates are encouraged.

Qualifikationen

• Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution requires 2+ years of experience.
• If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date/RN job date and complete within 5 years.
• Preferred: BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN.
• Active Ohio RN License.
• May be required to obtain other state licensure.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMeritTM per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.

Aufgaben

• Compliance - Patient Services Staff: Sustain understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; support leadership in compliance efforts; monitor safety and department policies; ensure certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled; communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership.
• Clinical judgment when performing caring practices: Collect clinical data; follow algorithms; document plan of care and outcomes; ensure age- and developmentally appropriate care; teach back to patients and families.
• Clinical inquiry & performance review to improve practice: Follow standards; implement clinical changes; seek learning to improve care; engage in self-appraisal and peer review; mentor learners; share safety best practices.
• Collaborates with team using shared decision making: Participate in interprofessional team discussions; contribute to shared governance at point-of-care.
• Interprofessional Practice: Integrate IPM in practice; advocate for patients; consider cultural inclusion; protect patient rights and dignity.
• Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Inclusive: Integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts in care; adapt to patient’s age and development.
