Job summary

Medical City Decatur is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool, delivering patient-centered care across units with a focus on safety and quality. You will assess, administer medications, monitor responses, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to meet state-specific standards.

Required ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified times, RN licensure, and 2 years of experience; an ADN or BSN is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within specified timeframes.
• 2 years of nursing experience in acute care or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor responses, document care in medical records.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care; anticipate and respond to patient needs.
