Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality care.

Requirements include Florida RN licensure, BLS, strong communication, and critical thinking skills. The role supports education, documentation, and patient-family counseling within a compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address identified patient needs and goals.
• Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries.
• Monitor patient lab work for trends and report abnormal results for necessary actions.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to policies and procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Document all pertinent patient care information accurately and timely in the patient's medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities by engaging in unit-based initiatives and evidence-based practice projects.
• Respond effectively to emergencies by providing necessary interventions and coordinating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
