Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS
• PALS
• 2 years RN experience, required.
• IV Therapy, 12-lead EKG administration, Interpretation of EKG rhythms.
• Meditech documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for the department-specific patient population.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Participate in quality of care activities to initiate and sustain process improvements.
• Collaborate with patient, families and providers to advocate for patient care.
• Monitor patient progress toward outcomes and consider safety and cost effectiveness.
• Participate in improvement of department operations and secure medications per guidelines.
