DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering a comprehensive range of services including a heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace’s joint replacement program features minimally invasive knee and hip surgeries, attracting patients nationwide. Job Summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a key member of the Patient Care Services Team. The RN is responsible for ensuring high-quality nursing care by managing and providing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families. This role involves applying independent judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with team members, including ancillary and support staff. The RN’s responsibilities include leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers
• Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care
• Assign patient care activities to team members
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge
• Report to senior management and participate in shared decision-making

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current RN license in Michigan required
