Corewell Health’s Gerber Hospital in Fremont, MI seeks a Float Nurse to cross-train across Med Surg, ICU, Emergency, and OB. The float pool offers broader skill development and a pay incentive for float work.

As part of the Staffing Office Float Pool, you will deliver nursing care per ANA standards, perform assessments, planning, and documentation, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff in a high‑quality patient‑centered environment. Full-time schedule, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifikationen

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.

A Float position gives you the opportunity to cross train to Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Departments, and OB. Float offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and enhance your skills by working in these departments. There also is a pay incentive for working Float.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
