Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time registered nurse at Gerber Hospital in Fremont, MI. You will deliver nursing care in the Surgery Department, following ANA nursing process and professional standards.

The role supports 20 hours weekly with a day shift (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.), Monday and Friday, and on-call weekends. Active MI RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications are required within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing within 5 years required.
• MI RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably per ANA standards.
• Demonstrate competency through the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Uphold professional performance in ethics, communication and teamwork.

The Surgery Department includes three operating rooms, one dedicated C-section operating room, and one endoscopy suite. We serve a wide range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry, and orthopedics. Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
