Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Internal Float RN for Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. You will support Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units, floating as needed to provide continuous, patient-centered care on a 0.9 FTE, day shift.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, and BLS certification, with 18 months of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience; 2 years preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Minimum 18 months of Med Surg or Telemetry RN experience (2 years strongly preferred).
• Flexibility and ability to meet scheduling expectations per 6‑week period.
• Commitment to ongoing learning, adaptability, and teamwork across multiple care environments.

Responsibilities

• Floating between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units; may float to ICU.
• Provide safe, evidence‑based patient care in fast-paced settings.
• Adapt to unit workflows and support teams with professionalism.
• Demonstrate strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Support efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
