Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Float Unit in Med/Surg. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend and day shifts. A sign-on bonus is eligible for this position.

You will collaboratively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. Emphasis on education, IV therapy, and timely discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Two years RN experience preferred (may be considered).
• Current RN license in Michigan required (state).
• BCLS/ACLS per unit's standard required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary plan of care to optimize stay, resources and outcomes.
• Provide patient education and emotional support.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform dressing changes.
• Monitor patient responses and respond to acute changes in condition.
• Collaborate with case managers for discharge planning and follow-up.
