Job summary

Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Float Unit – Med/Surg to deliver patient-centered care in a collaborative setting. The role is full-time (36 hours per week) with every third weekend, and a sign-on bonus is eligible.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• BSN strongly preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of a multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource utilization, and quality outcomes.
• Provide patient education and support, addressing fears and anxiety through effective communication and teaching.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures such as dressing changes and blood glucose monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and responding to acute changes in condition.
• Collaborate with case managers to ensure seamless discharge planning and appropriate follow-up care.
