Job summary

Ascension is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN Emergency Dept. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, assess needs, and communicate changes to the team in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff, carry out orders, and ensure high-quality, safe patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• RN licensure from Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• Diploma in nursing or professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s care needs with members of the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing

RN licensure from Indiana Board of Nursing

Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) obtained

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education:Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
