Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide coordinated care for patients and support families. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, perform assessments, administer medications, document, and educate patients while maintaining equipment and safety.

Requirements include one year of med/surg experience, TN nursing license, BLS, and a plan to obtain Med-Surg certification within a year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rounding to maximize satisfaction and quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care for the ages served.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Utilize nursing process for individual patient care needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures as required by the role.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be performing patient roundingin an effort tomaximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.

• You will promote customer service initiatives.

• You are given the opportunity toutilizenursingprocess for individual care to meetneedsof patients.

• In thisroleyou willdemonstrateyour ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:
