Job summary

Banner Health seeks an experienced RN for Banner Staffing Services in Mesa, AZ. Self-schedule 2+ shifts monthly across Observation Units with day or night options. Roles include fast-paced care, telemetry-ready beds, and collaboration with the care team.

Ideal candidates have 18+ months RN experience, 12 months in Observation/ICU/ED in the last 18 months, and hold BLS and ACLS. Orientation is full-time with required trainings during the first week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months RN work experience.
• Minimum 12 months of recent experience on an Observation Unit, Progressive/Intermediate Care Unit or Emergency Dept. (Within the last 18 months).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Orientation is a full-time, week-long commitment.
• Must attend both virtual and in-person training during the first week.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care.
• Admit, transfer and discharge patients daily on the unit.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and communicate status.
• Evaluate patient progress and update care plans accordingly.
• Provide patient and family education and ensure safety.
