Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and manage transitions of care within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.

The RN will demonstrate leadership, mentor staff, and participate on quality improvement initiatives while providing compassionate patient-centered care in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse (RN) coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
