The RN works within Mayo Clinic’s Nursing Professional Practice Model, reports to applicable work area standards, and may require BLS in various states. A valid RN license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• RN license by state requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred/ required within five years of RN start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Support transitions of care and nursing practice across care settings.
• Provide leadership through precepting, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
