Job summary

Riverside Health in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a qualified nurse to manage a nursing unit and coordinate resident care.

You will assign duties, monitor performance, develop and evaluate care plans, communicate with providers, residents and families, document changes, and ensure safety and dignity. Current RN or LPN license required; CPR/BLS within 30 days; LTC/AL experience preferred. PRN with flexible hours available.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTC/AL settings preferred.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care.
• Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety/dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
