Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Plano, TX seeks an RN First Assistant (RNFA) to support physicians in clinic, hospital and OR settings. Full-time, days, M-F, 6:30AM-3:00PM with 1-2 on-call days per week and one weekend every 5 weeks. Requires RN licensure with RNFA experience and CVOR preference.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized Nursing program.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous nursing experience.
• RN-First Assistant certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-surgical evaluations and issue pre-operative orders.
• Assist surgeons during operations with instruments and tissue handling.
• Support patient care planning and coordination with other providers.
• Post-operative care and discharge coordination with care teams.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff in clinic, hospital and OR settings.
