Mercy St. Louis Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) for the Main Operating Room. Join a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center team delivering advanced surgical care to patients of all ages in a full-time day role.

Education includes a nursing degree with active RN licensure in the state of practice and a minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience. BLS/ACLS are required within the first year of employment.

Join the Main Operating Room team at Mercy St. Louis Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center providing advanced surgical care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

Service Lines (27 Operating Rooms)

Our Operating Room Is Organized Into Specialized Teams, Including

• General Surgery: General, Burn, Plastics, Bariatric, and Colorectal Surgery
• Women’s & Urology Services: Gynecology (GYN), Genitourinary (GU/Urology), and Robotics
• Specialty Surgery: Orthopedic and Neurosurgery
• ENT Services: ENT, Oral and Maxillofacial (OMF), Dental, Pediatric, and Ophthalmology procedures

Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure:

Active RN licensure in the state of practice.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience.

Certifications:

BLS/ACLS required within first year.

Other:

Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Preferred

CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred
