Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO seeks an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team. Work closely with surgeons to deliver perioperative care before, during, and after surgery in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers a new sign-on bonus and the opportunity to contribute to high standards of patient care within Mercy's mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant class within one year of hire/transfer; BLS/ACLS within first year.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
