Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN First Assist for the Main Operating Room on a PRN basis. The role requires perioperative nursing experience, RN licensure in the state, and BLS/ACLS within the first year. CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and perioperative nursing.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.

• 27 Operating Rooms
• Seven specialty teams, including:
  • General Surgery

• Four state-of-the-art surgical robots
