Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join the surgical team. You will work side-by-side with surgeons to provide perioperative care and support patients before, during, and after procedures.

This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week, day shifts, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, active RN licensure in Missouri, CNOR preferred, and opportunity to grow within a mission-driven organization dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.

• Provide perioperative care alongside surgeons during surgery.
• Support patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with a collaborative surgical team to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure: Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of perioperative nursing experience.
• Certifications: CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer. BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Other: Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Preferred: CNOR Certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
