Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse First Assistant to support the surgeon during the intraoperative phase, applying perioperative nursing knowledge to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes. You will collaborate with the health care team and surgeon, while not acting as a scrub nurse.

The role requires RN licensure in NJ, RNFA program graduation, and AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program.
• Current NJ State Professional RN License.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS Certification (AHA).
• PALS Certification (AHA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgeon and health care team during the intraoperative phase to assist safely.
• Practice perioperative nursing with knowledge, skill, and judgment to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Not concurrently functioning as a scrub nurse.
