Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN 1st Assist for a per diem daytime role. The RNFA works with the operating surgeon during the intraoperative phase to support perioperative nursing and surgical procedures.

Candidates must hold an NJRN license (or compact with NJ endorsement), possess active BLS, CNOR, ACLS, and RNFA/CRNFA credentials, and have five years of nursing experience with three years in scrub/circulating roles in the OR.

Qualifications

ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
Five years nursing experience with three years as scrub/circulating nurse in OR.
Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

RNFA collaborates with the operating surgeon during the intraoperative phase of perioperative nursing, executing organized instruction and supervised clinical practice.
