Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN First Assistant to provide safe, high-quality perioperative care across all patient populations. The role includes acting as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and, when required, serving as an RN circulator throughout the perioperative continuum.

Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, Georgia RN license, and AORN-RN First Assistant program completion. CNOR and CRNFA are valued, with BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with an active Georgia RN license.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical).
• Minimum 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience; 3 years in CVOR preferred.

At times is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate from a school of nursing. Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience. If working in the CVOR, minimum experience of three years as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: RN First Assistant certification (CRNFA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on patient population
