Job summary

Powers Health is hiring an RN Fellow for 4 North at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. The role covers varied 8- and 12-hour shifts, with PRN scheduling, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The RN Fellow program aims to help nursing students develop clinical skills on a 24-hour medical/surgical unit serving patients aged 12 and up. Fellows receive tuition assistance during the last year of nursing school and join a team dedicated to patient care, safety and continuous learning in a

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing in good standing.
• Must have completed at least one semester of clinical experience with basic nursing fundamentals.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn nursing art and science within the department's philosophy, goals and standards.
• Perform designated patient care activities for comfort, safety and needs per policy.
• Assist patients with ADLs, ambulation, mobility, positioning, turning and lifting.
• Assist with transfers and discharges.
• Assist with nutritional needs, meal trays, water, and special diets.
