BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) in Valley Park, Missouri. This full-time Staff role covers nights and a 36-hour work week, within a dynamic 24-bed unit that handles short-term observation, monitoring, and recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) and thrives in a fast-paced ED/acute care environment. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for external applicants.

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing Experience
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety initiatives and professional development.
• Develops and documents care plans with interprofessional team and coordinates care across the continuum.
