Baptist Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the 5 South Observation Unit, a fast-paced, team-focused environment supporting the Emergency Department and telemetry. This 21-bed unit provides short-term observation to determine inpatient needs, with strong nurse-to-patient ratios and a collaborative care model.

Ideal candidates have backgrounds in Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, intermediate care, or ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license
• BLS ACLS NIH Certification – training available
• 12‑Lead EKG – training available
• Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to low‑acuity observation patients.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient patient flow.
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow evidence‑based standards of care.
