Job summary

MidState Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Family Birthing float pool, working nights after orientation. The GN position offers opportunities to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

As part of Hartford HealthCare’s network, you will provide nursing care per the State Nurse Practice Act, develop care plans using the nursing process, and address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families,

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of Connecticut.
• Must have previous RN experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Self-directed in managing patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Develop a plan of care using the nursing process.
• Address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
• Incorporate the patient’s age-related needs in planning and delivering care.
