Job summary

MidState Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a GN position in the Family Birthing float pool, with nights and orientation. This role supports patient care across units in a thriving hospital environment.

Under the Clinical Manager, the RN provides care per State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, developing care plans using the nursing process while addressing physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• Current RN license in state of Connecticut.
• Experience as RN required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment.
• Self-directed in management of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Develop a plan of care using the nursing process to meet patient needs.
• Address physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families.
• Incorporate patient age group needs into planning and delivery of care.
