Job summary

The Falls Prevention Coordinator at VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System leads a system-wide program to reduce fall risk for Veterans. You will analyze data, develop protocols, educate staff, and collaborate across disciplines to improve safety and outcomes.

Requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, and experience in patient safety or quality improvement; federal benefits, strong communication, and leadership are valued. Telework is available for certain duties; extensive training provided.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency as required by VA standards.
• RN licensure required with adherence to licensure/certification rules.
• Experience with fall prevention concepts and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evaluation of a comprehensive falls prevention program.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, QA, Patient Safety, and units to implement interventions.
• Educate staff on fall risk assessment, mobility safety, and patient handling practices.
• Analyze fall data, perform RCAs, and coordinate follow-up actions.
