Job summary

Trinity Health Mount Carmel is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with ED experience for night shifts in our new Emergency Department in Dublin, Ohio. The Staff RN will work three 12-hour shifts per week from 7pm to 7:30am, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, Nursing degree, and at least 2 years’ ED or relevant experience for casual RNs; new grads may join the Nurse Residency Program.

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• 2 years of experience required for Casual RNs.
• New graduate nurses with less than one year of clinical experience are enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.

• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients.
• Collaborates with patient and family to develop a plan of care including physical, spiritual and educational components.

• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and completely.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documentation by others as appropriate.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Registered Nurse RN ED experienced required - this Staff RN will be working in our new Emergency Department on Nights at Mount Carmel Dublin three 12-hour shifts per week from 7pm - 7:30am with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Position Purpose:

The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Registered Nurse RN, collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

What you will do:

• Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence based practice.
• Collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components.
• Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Keeps patient/family apprised/updated.
• Documents accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required.
• All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience are subject to participate and will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
