Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a registered nurse to join our care team in Kings Mountain, NC. The role involves delivering evidence-based nursing care, participating in quality initiatives, and ensuring patient safety across units.

The RN will assess and plan patient care, coordinate with physicians and other professionals, and maintain accurate documentation in the EHR. 1 year of clinical nursing experience and a BSN are preferred; licensure must be in good standing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required by department standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and ensure accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
