Job summary

You'll engage in governance, quality initiatives, and patient-centered care, using the nursing process to assess and respond to patient needs. Expect collaboration across the care team and potential float to other units within the service area.

Qualifications

• RN license required (multistate compact or single-state) and active in-state privileges.
• BLS certification required; additional specialty certifications may be required.
• BSN preferred; diploma or ADN acceptable with agreement to obtain BSN.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans; coordinate with care team.
• Maintain safety culture and accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicate effectively and support delegation within the team.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ensure age-appropriate patient care.
