Job summary

The role requires an RN license with BLS, and may involve floating to other units to meet patient care needs while maintaining age-appropriate care. This position is hospital-based and patient-focused.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact or single-state license with privileges in the state(s) served.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Telehealth/licensing requirements as applicable to state(s) served.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols and procedures.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Promotes a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area to meet patient care needs.
