Qualifications

• RN license must be current and valid.

• Current CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and overseeing daily nursing operations.
• Ensure nursing staff fulfill responsibilities and deliver high-quality resident care.
• Participate in facility surveys/inspections as required by administration.
• Contribute to development and implementation of resident care and discharge plans.
• Ensure proper staffing levels on each shift to maintain high-quality standards.
• Conduct regular rounds and provide feedback to leadership.
• Review and address staff complaints/grievances.
• Welcome new residents and assist during admission.
• Accompany physicians on rounds as necessary.
• Oversee medication administration and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide direct nursing care when needed.
• Assist with comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Participate in performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and overseeing daily nursing operations in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
• Ensure nursing staff fulfill their responsibilities and deliver excellent resident care.
• Participate in facility surveys/inspections as required by administration.
• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of resident care and discharge plans.
• Ensure proper staffing levels on each shift to maintain high-quality standards.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor performance, providing feedback and reporting to leadership.
• Review and escape staff complaints/grievances appropriately.
• Welcome new residents, escort them to their rooms, and provide support during admission.
• Accompany physicians on rounds as necessary.
• Oversee medication administration and treatments, ensuring compliance with physician orders and schedules.
• Provide direct nursing care when needed.
• Assist with comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Participate in performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs.
