Job summary

Bayonne University Hospital in Bayonne, NJ seeks an RN for the Emergency Department. This role provides professional nursing care across age groups and requires coordination with other disciplines to ensure efficient patient flow.

The RN must have NJ license, be able to triage effectively, and meet BLS/ACLS/PALS and ENPC requirements within 1 year of hire. Minimum 2 years of ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Current RN New Jersey license is required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the ED for neonate to geriatric patients.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the ED.
• Triage patients safely, rapidly and accurately.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient status and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment.
• Operate ED equipment as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

The Registered Nurse (RN) Provides professional nursing cae within the Emergency Department to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provies direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. The ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the ED. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the department.

Communicate with the physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.

The ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrate the ability to use equipment specific to the Emergency Department.

What We're Looking For

• Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or, ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• At least 2-years of relevant work experience required.
