Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Bayonne, NJ, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver urgent care in the Emergency Department across neonatal to geriatric patients. You will coordinate care with the ED team and provide direct and indirect nursing care with initiative and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include safe triage, monitoring patient status, and rapid communication with physicians. Must hold NJ RN license and relevant certifications; 2+ years of ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current New Jersey RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• At least 2 years of relevant ED nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department for all ages.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines and teams.
• Triages safely, rapidly and accurately for every patient.
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and team.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and use ED equipment.

Salary Range: $62.13 To $65.34 Hourly

What You'll Be Doing

The Registered Nurse (RN) Provides professional nursing cae within the Emergency Department to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provies direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. The ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the ED. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the department.

Communicate with the physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.

The ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrate the ability to use equipment specific to the Emergency Department.

What We're Looking For

• Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or, ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• At least 2-years of relevant work experience required.
