CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Park Rapids, MN, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks an ER ICU Nurse to deliver urgent stabilization and care in our 24/7 Emergency Department.

You’ll perform IV starts, assist with chest tube insertions, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families during crises. You will triage using established protocols, document nursing care plans, and participate in initiatives to improve patient experience, clinical outcomes, and staff education

Formación

• Graduate of accredited professional nursing education program.
• Active Minnesota RN license (MN).
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS from American Heart Association within six (6) months of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within six (6) months of start date.
• TNCC within 12 months of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the ER team.
• Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition, considering cultural values.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an ER ICU Nurse at CHI St. Joseph's Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies.

No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.

To thrive as an ER ICU nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. More than anything, you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.

Responsibilities:

• Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
• Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
• Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of accredited professional nursing education program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Minnesota (MN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association within six (6) months of start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within six (6) months of start date.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months of start date

Preferred

• Department specific clinical experience
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
