Located in Templeton among the oak trees, Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122‑bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Responsibilities

• Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients.
• Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care.
• Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice, and promoting cooperation among the health care team.
• This position is represented by CNA.
• Assures patients personal needs are met. Assist in reducing noise level of nursing unit.
• Shows a commitment to co‑workers.
• Works as a team to assure all patients have their needs met.
• Maintains patient, co‑worker, and hospital privacy.
• Documentation is clear, concise, and legible.
• Delivers a clear, concise report.
• Completes all assigned quality monitors as directed by department manager.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Obtains history/physical assessment according to unit specific nursing protocol for all age groups.
• Reviews medical history, physical examination, and all available assessment data.
• Identifies abnormal diagnostic data and reports to appropriate person.
• Provides information needed to begin discharge planning in a timely manner, and to the appropriate personnel.
• Recognizes signs and symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress, or other impending emergencies.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to effectively function in Code Blue and other emergency situations.
• Accurately administers and charts medications according to hospital policies and procedures using patient's 6 rights.
• Implements and /or assists others in implementation and documentation of planned education.
• Assesses patient's educational needs.
• Assist in the development and education of new staff members.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings.
• Completes education, training, and competencies for department specific skills.
• Successfully adapts to changes in the unit, environment, and work flow.
• Assures all patient charge items are charged and documented correctly.
• Utilizes department resources appropriately. Minimizes incidental overtime.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (ENPC meets PALS requirements): Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required
• Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC‑ALS: Required
• AHA-PALS or ARC‑PALS: Required
