Atlas MedStaff is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Springfield, Illinois. This RN role is located in a Level I trauma center, focusing on a rapid-paced combined Adult/Peds emergency care environment.

Join our Emergency Department team as an ER Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Springfield, Illinois. This is an ED RN role in a Level I trauma center acute care hospital, supporting a fast-paced combined Adult/Peds emergency setting. You’ll work mid shifts on a schedule of either 3×12 or 4×12 hours (15:00–03:30), averaging 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage every other weekend.

What makes this assignment unique is the breadth of emergency case exposure and the expectation of strong readiness across cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, and supporting complex multisystem presentations. The role also emphasizes hands‑on emergency workflows such as starting IVs, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and medication readiness including emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration.

You’ll be expected to be comfortable with a wide range of topics including triage, isolation precautions, and consistent documentation in Cerner. First‑timers are accepted, and the team will consider block scheduling requests to align with your availability.
