Job summary

ARMStaffing invites an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join a 28-bed ED at a facility recognized as a Primary Stroke Center, utilizing Teladoc neurology for stroke care.

The position offers a 36-hour NOC schedule (3×12) from 19:00 to 07:30, with responsibilities including patient stabilization, ED monitoring, and coordination for transfers to trauma or pediatric centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Proficient with EPIC charting and common ED devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in the ED.
• Utilize EPIC charting for accurate patient records.
• Operate medical devices such as IV pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs and patient monitors.
• Assist in patient stabilization and transfer processes for trauma and pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position offers a NOC schedule with 3 × 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our 28-bed Emergency Department. This facility is a Primary Stroke Center, utilizing Teladoc virtual neurology services for stroke care. The ED is not a designated trauma center or pediatric receiving facility; however, we stabilize walk-in trauma patients for transfer to a designated trauma center and direct pediatric patients requiring advanced care to appropriate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize proficient EPIC charting for accurate patient record management.
• Operate various medical devices, including B. Braun IV pumps, bedside bladder scanners, EKG machines, and Philips monitors.
• Participate in patient stabilization and transfer processes for trauma and pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience is preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required.
