Cynet Health is seeking a RN (ER) for a 13-week contract in Savannah, GA. The ER handles STEMI and stroke patients in a 50-bed unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts, requiring a valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
Local candidates only; travel rules apply with a requirement to have recent hospital experience in a department of similar size and acuity. Telemetry and ED processes are in MEDITECH.

Description:Local candidate rule applies.Travelers' permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered.Experience must be from a hospital of comparable size and acuity level.Candidate must have successfully completed at least one travel contract.Unit handles trauma cases and is a STEMI receiving and primary stroke center.The Emergency Department has approximately 50 beds and a fast track area.Patients are triaged in a separate area, and travelers are required to perform triage.ER holds are intermixed within the department.There are two separate psych/seclusion rooms available.Security is in-house 24/7 and housed within the department.On average, the Emergency Department treats about 120 patients daily.Nurse to patient ratios are 1:4.Common certifications preferred include TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and NIHSS.Typical patient diagnoses include cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, and critical care cases.All types of drips are administered in the department.The team includes ED physicians as well as PAs and NPs.The charge nurse does not have an assignment.Paramedics and patient care technicians assist with duties in the department.Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 and responds quickly.Respiratory therapists conduct ABGs and breathing treatments upon request.They manage equipment like vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips using Spacelabs monitors and save them in the chart.X-ray and CT services are available in the department with their own techs for transport.Phlebotomy is not performed in the Emergency Department by RNs.Self-scheduling is available based on department needs.Weekend requirements include at least 6 weekend nights in a six-week schedule.Holiday requirements are based on department needs.No call or standby requirement exists.Floating requirements do not apply.Scrub color is navy.Unit-specific orientation occurs during the first week of the contract.Cancellation policy allows for two shifts per assignment.Charting system used is MEDITECH.BSN is not required.A valid license is necessary for submission.Trauma level is 3.Care setting is acute.Division is nursing.Shift notes indicate 12-hour night shifts.Required certifications are ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
