Qualifications

  • Associate Degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in state of practice is required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
  • TNCC certification must be obtained within six months of hire or transfer.
  • At least one year of experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate triage assessments and notify physicians of abnormal signs or vitals.
  • Process and complete patient orders in a timely manner.
  • Provide education on medication side effects and include in discharge instructions.
  • Recognize signs of cardiac or respiratory distress and respond appropriately.
  • Administer nursing interventions for stable and emergent situations.
  • Demonstrate competence with IV therapy and medical equipment in critical care.
  • Interpret ECG rhythms and manage life-threatening emergencies.
  • Participate in Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations.
  • Document patient care legibly and timely.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Join a dedicated team providing exceptional nursing care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position involves triaging, treating, and discharging patients in the Emergency Department across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. This includes performing comprehensive assessments, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring the well-being of patients during their hospital stay.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct accurate triage assessments on all patients and promptly notify the Emergency Physician of any abnormal signs, symptoms, or vital signs.
  • Process and complete patient orders in a timely manner.
  • Provide medication side effects education to patients and include this information in discharge instructions.
  • Recognize the signs of cardiac or respiratory distress and other emergencies, responding appropriately.
  • Administer nursing interventions for both stable and emergent patient situations.
  • Demonstrate competence in key nursing skills, including medication administration, IV therapy, and using medical equipment in critical care.
  • Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies.
  • Participate in Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations while demonstrating appropriate knowledge and skills.
  • Complete legible and timely documentation of patient care.
Job Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification must be obtained within six months of hire or transfer.
  • At least one year of experience in acute care is required.

Note: Recent experience with EPIC is required. This position is represented by the CNA.
