Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a skilled Emergency Room RN for a 13-week assignment in Indiana, with a 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift. The role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork in a 29-bed ED.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of ER experience, an RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with capability to triage, administer care, and document accurately.

Responsibilities

Description:The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced, 29-bed Emergency Department.The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for individuals presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent medical conditions.The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care.Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage according to department protocols.Initiate and manage emergency nursing interventions for critically ill and injured patients.Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately.Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and cardiac emergencies.Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity situations.Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.Collaborate effectively with physicians, EMS personnel, respiratory therapy, laboratory, radiology, and ancillary staff.Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention guidelines.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume Emergency Department preferred.
