Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking an experienced RN for an Endoscopy PRN position. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families about procedures, and manage IV therapy and meds for surgical readiness.

You will join a dynamic interdisciplinary team, follow universal protocols, and participate in site verification to ensure patient safety and quality of care in a busy surgical suite.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and perioperative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor, and document changes and care provided.
