Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our patient care team. You will interpret the plan of medical care, assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing (or Bachelor's) and RN licensure, with 3–5 years RN experience preferred. Endoscopy or sedation experience is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing best practices.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

40-hours a week (4-10's) Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. One full weekend shift every six weeks, one full holiday per calendar year, and one on-call shift every four weeks. At this time, there is no availability to transition to 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will have a BSN and 3-5 years RN experience. Endoscopy or sedation experience preferred.

Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.   • Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
Qualifications

Education Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

  • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
