Scripps Health is seeking a Per Diem RN for a Casual status position at the La Jolla campus. The 8‑hour day shift starts between 0630 and 0900, with a rotating call schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. You will work within a Magnet hospital and Level I trauma center, delivering patient‑centered surgical care.
The role emphasizes direct patient care, care planning, and collaboration with the care team to maintain high standards and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
This is a Casual status also known as Per Diem RN position located at Scripps Memorial La Jolla in the brand new north tower. The shift is a 8 hour day shift and the start time would fall between 0630-0900 and vary throughout the week. There is call rotation weekday/weekend/holiday call, and overnight call. In a 4 week schedule period, casual employees are required to work once per week with 2 call shifts per schedule period. Additional call is available if you want more shifts. For the training period 2-3 shifts per week would be ideal, but we are flexible with availability.

Responsibilities include: provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
