Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Endo GI Lab for a PRN schedule. You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families, and manage preoperative care with a focus on safety and efficiency in the operative suite.

You will collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and technologists, applying nursing processes and evidence-based practice while remaining adaptable to on-call needs and a dynamic perioperative team.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS within 6 months of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education for procedures.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care.
