Olympic Medical Center in Sequim, WA, is seeking a customer service-focused health care coordinator to support authorization, scheduling, and care coordination. This full-time role works with multiple departments to ensure smooth patient flow and timely access to tests and services.
Candidates should have an Associate degree in health care or business and at least two years in a health-care setting with strong communication and HIPAA compliance. Epic experience preferred.

Provides excellent customer service by employing OMC’s C.A.R.E. standards. Ensures providers orders are processed, authorized, and scheduled as necessary. Works with multiple departments, internal and external to the organization, to coordinate the diagnostic testing and medical care of the patient. Responsible for understanding the authorization process and participates in obtaining prior authorization when necessary. Coordinates health information between departments and caregivers under the applicable HIPAA laws and utilizes electronic repositories for health information and insurance coverage information to exchange secure data. Documents patient care into electronic health record in a timely manner and with appropriate documentation standards. Assists patients to navigate through the health care system according to providers’ plan of care.
Associates Degree in healthcare or business preferred.
Two years of experience working in a health care setting and demonstrated excellence in customer service and patient care skills required. Prior experience with insurance authorizations and Epic preferred.
