Job summary

Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, Kentucky is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform skilled procedures, and develop patient care plans within an interdisciplinary team.

The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and up to $24,000 in student loan assistance; candidates must meet KY RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within deadlines, and continuing certifications may be required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse licensed in KY or eligible for licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, comprehensive patient care and skilled procedures
  • Develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary team
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per policy
  • Assess progress and adjust plans to achieve patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families and coordinate discharge planning

This position is eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus AND up to$24,000 Student Loan Assistance

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

  • Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
  • Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
  • Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
  • Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
  • Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
